Are You Misunderstood?

Dear Daughter,

Are you misunderstood? None is understood completely or always. In our being misunderstood, we can find communion with Christ, for there has been no greater misunderstanding than that which brought about the crucifixion. Yet it was all necessary for our salvation. Jesus died as guilty though He be innocent. He wasn’t recognized as King, though He reigns as King of Kings. He was accused of blasphemy, but He indeed came as God in the flesh. He was mocked and spat on, but He rose again.

We must press on toward becoming polished cornerstones, and let us guard our consciences from oversensitivity and offense. If you have wronged, apologize. If you are confused, ask for counsel. If you are simply misunderstood, forgive. Then walk in newness of life, serving the King.
